IHI F44A3 Compressor Overhaul
A complete overhaul of an IHI F44A3 centrifugal air compressor — inspection, cooler cleaning, filter and turbo oil replacement, carried out by Turbomax engineers.
Machine background
The IHI F44A3 is an oil-free centrifugal air compressor widely used in electronics, textile and general industrial plants. Like all turbo compressors, it relies on clean coolers, clean oil and unrestricted airflow to keep bearing temperatures and vibration under control. Our customer requested a complete overhaul to restore the machine to reliable running condition before peak production season.
Scope of work
- Full inspection — overall condition check of the compressor before overhaul, including running parameters and visible wear points
- Cooler cleaning — cleaning of the gas cooler and oil cooler to restore heat-exchange efficiency and prevent high-temperature trips
- Consumables replacement — new oil mist separator element, oil filter element, air filter element, and fresh turbo oil to protect the high-speed bearings and gearbox
