Vibration Transmitters & Sensors for Centrifugal Air Compressors
Replacement vibration transmitters and vibration sensors for IHI centrifugal air compressors — by Turbomax Co., Ltd.
At a glance
Fits: IHI centrifugal compressors using CQ71 / JCQ71 vibration transmitters and sensors
Part numbers: CQ71SEN004, CQ71SEN005, JCQ71SEN001 and JCQ71SEN002
Supply: Transmitter or sensor individually, or as a matched set
On an oil-free centrifugal compressor the vibration monitoring chain is the machine's early-warning system: a probe on the gearbox or casing picks up the movement, a transmitter converts it into a signal the control panel can read, and the panel trips the machine when the level crosses the alarm limit. When that chain lies — a drifting reading, a stuck value, a false alarm — maintenance decisions become guesswork. Turbomax supplies the vibration transmitter and sensor as a matched replacement set.
Conditions the probe signal and sends the vibration value to the control panel
Vibration sensor

Picks up casing / gearbox vibration at the measuring point
Vibration transmitter

Other models are available on request. If the marking on your old part is unreadable, send a photo of the installed probe and its connector — we will identify the equivalent.
Symptoms that point to the sensor, not the machine
Vibration reading drifts while the compressor runs at a steady, unloaded condition;
The probe shows a constant value no matter what load the machine carries;
Repeated false high-vibration alarms or trips, with no mechanical noise or performance change;
No signal, or an open-circuit indication at the control panel;
The reading changes when the cable or connector is touched — a classic wiring or connector fault;
The panel reading disagrees with a portable vibration meter taken at the same measuring point.
Before replacing anything, it is worth checking the obvious: connector seating, cable damage, and whether the probe is actually mounted at the correct point and torque. A loose probe reports the probe's own movement, not the machine's.
What Turbomax supplies
Vibration transmitter — CQ71SEN004, JCQ71SEN001 and equivalents;
Vibration sensor — CQ71SEN005, JCQ71SEN002 and equivalents;
Matched pairs — sensor and transmitter supplied together so the range and output type agree;
Identification support — send a photo of the old part and we confirm the replacement before you order;
Commissioning values — zero and span check points for verification at start-up.

Frequently asked questions
Sensor vs transmitter — what is the difference? — The sensor picks up vibration at the measuring point; the transmitter conditions that signal and sends it to the control panel, usually as 4-20 mA.
What are the signs of a failing sensor or transmitter? — Drifting or stuck readings, false high-vibration trips, open-circuit indications, and readings that change when the cable is touched.
Can I replace the sensor without reprogramming the panel? — With the same part number and range, normally yes — verify zero and span at commissioning. Different ranges need a scaling check.
Which part numbers are available? — CQ71SEN004, CQ71SEN005, JCQ71SEN001 and JCQ71SEN002, plus other models on request.
What do you need to identify the right part? — The compressor model, the marking on the old part, and a photo of the installed probe with its connector.
How to get a quotation
Send the compressor model, the part number on the old transmitter or sensor, and a photo of the installed probe. Quantity matters too — most plants keep one spare pair on the shelf rather than waiting for a trip.
